In my opinion it was ways better than NM.But the I had to be able to connect to a network via PPTP. Wicd doesn't support tha t yet, and alternative vpn connectors like kvpnc, pptp-config aond so on didn't work (i'still not sure why).So I gave NM a new try, and look: it seems to be ways better now than before.The hotspot-Task would be the next thing to do, but I'm sure this time this will work like a charm.If you just want to connect: Wicd.
