I’m a fan of good themes and love to customize my desktop, I started searching for the best Ubuntu / Gnome Themes. I downloaded loads of them, bookmarked and saved the pages for further use. You can access what I have collected on my blog Ubuntu Dan. I hope this was helpful!

Hmm… I’m getting errors…

@DIPIN - I think it's done in a terminal command:compiz --replaceJust MAKE SURE that there were NO ERRORS in the installation BEFORE using this command. If I remember correctly, if there are issues with the install and you switch to compiz, you may lose your GUI. I did and ended up reinstalling.Side note: Have you tried Envy? http://www.albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html It's for Ubuntu Linux and Debian and detects the model of your graphic card (only ATI and Nvidia cards are supported) and install the appropriate driver. This might be a helpful tool?

am working in GNOME environment(GUI)…how
do i invoke compiz fusion…i have installed the rquired drivers which i suppose..not sure..
can someone please guide me through the same…

@Mark Sanborn – In systems that don’t use apt the link won’t work. For example try it in Windows and the browser will give you a message indicating it does not know how to handle apt (as apt is not associated with anything). Additionally, don’t forget that this is dependent on the repositories configured on the Linux system. In my opinion, Vadim provided the community with a nice post (I think the themes, rock by the way).

Love the themes and love the way you linked to apt so the packages install automatically.

Not sure about the “old” because while it worked at first, it didn’t after.Maybe it’s for 8.04 only?

I think the first two arguments for deb on the hardy line have been swapped.. it should be

deb http://debian.vogelweith.com/ hardy zgegthemes # Themes of ZgegBlog

Additionally, the package name to install is different: “zgegblog-themes-old”
